This article analyzes the current state of teaching primary school students to think independently based on a collaborative approach. The importance of collaborative learning technologies in the educational process, their role in developing students' independent thinking skills, and the effectiveness of modern pedagogical approaches are highlighted. Additionally, issues regarding the formation of students' creative and critical thinking skills through the use of interactive methods, group work, and problem-based situations in primary education are considered. During the study, the advantages of collaborative learning and existing problems in practice were analyzed, and recommendations for their elimination were developed.
