Abstract

The emergence of the platform economy in Russia has been recorded since the late 2000s, when only a small portion of respondents turned to online platforms for earnings for the first time. Starting from the first quarter of 2022, during a sample survey of the labor force, Rosstat takes into account such an indicator as the number of platform workers. The article analyzes the dynamics of the number of platform workers in Russia by main job in general and in terms of a number of indicators. Using trend models, an assessment is made of the prospective number of platform workers in Russia.
