Heritage statement for a non-designated and much altered 18th Century Cottage, at one time associated with the Cocker family's wire drawing business. The Cottage is a heavily altered 18th Century building of uncertain original function. It was in use as a house and workshop in the early 19th Century, and then reduced in size and used as a cottage in the late 19th to mid-20th Century. The building was renovated and extended in the late 20th Century, from which a large part of its current character derives.
