Between 20th and 21st November 2019, Archaeological Solutions Ltd carried out a magnetic gradiometer survey on land east of The Street, Sporle, Norfolk (NGR Site 1 TF 84825 10600; Site 2 TF 85520 09960). The project was carried out at the request of Norfolk County Council Historic Environment Service (NCC HES). The survey produced evidence of archaeological features in the north of the survey in the form of a curving positive anomaly (1), which could form the southern edge of an enclosure, and an ENE-WSW linear anomaly (2), which could represent a boundary feature not represented on the 1884 OS map. Two short positive linear anomalies with no clear form (3 and 4) were also identified, possibly representing segments of ditches. Also present were three discrete anomalies (5) that might represent infilled pit type features in the south of the survey. Two weaker, more diffuse anomalies (6 and 7) are tentatively identified as archaeological in origin.
