Abstract This systematic review seeks to critically evaluate the effectiveness of Dinacharya (daily regimen) and Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), as outlined in classical Ayurvedic texts, in the management and prevention of lifestyle diseases. By synthesizing evidence from recent clinical trials, observational studies, and review articles, the review aims to clarify how these traditional practices may contribute to improved metabolic health and reduced risk of conditions such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, the AYUSH Research Portal, and UGC CARE-listed journals for studies published between 2000 and 2024. The inclusion criteria comprised peer-reviewed clinical trials, observational studies, and review articles addressing the application of Dinacharya and Ritucharya in the context of lifestyle disease management, including conditions such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. The review found consistent evidence that adherence to Ayurvedic daily and seasonal routines is associated with improved metabolic health, reduced incidence of lifestyle diseases, and enhanced quality of life. Multiple studies highlighted the beneficial effects of Dinacharya practices—such as Abhyanga (oil massage), Nasya (nasal administration), and regular exercise—on key physiological parameters. Interventions based on Ritucharya were also reported to be effective in maintaining homeostasis and preventing disease exacerbation during seasonal transitions. The findings underscore the importance of integrating Dinacharya and Ritucharya into modern preventive healthcare strategies for the management of lifestyle diseases. However, the review also identifies a need for further large-scale, multicentric clinical trials to establish standardized protocols and to evaluate the long-term benefits and feasibility of these traditional Ayurvedic regimens within contemporary healthcare frameworks.
