The quest for a Unified Field Theory that harmonizes General Relativity (GR) with Quantum Mechanics (QM) has remained the central challenge of theoretical physics for over a century. This paper presents an alternative, minimalist approach: the Elastic Continuum Theory. We reject the geometric abstraction of an empty spacetime manifold and instead return to a physical, deterministic ontology, postulating that the universe is a foundational, infinite, isotropic, hyper-elastic solid medium—the Plenum. By applying the Principle of Least Action to this medium, we derive a single, real scalar field φ governed by a non-linear wave equation, designated as the Georgiadis Master Equation. We demonstrate that gravitational attraction emerges as the gradient of elastic stress (quadratic term), while matter and rest mass are formed via localized, non-dispersive standing waves known as topological solitons (cubic term). The model natively resolves cosmological and black hole singularities by enforcing an asymptotic hardening threshold that strictly prohibits infinite densities or structural tearing of the vacuum lattice. Finally, we propose concrete, testable macro-physical experiments validatable with existing technologies.
