Data processing methodology is one of methodologies on scientific research. The reinforcement of the training of data processing methods is conducive for students to acquire essential scientific research skills during physical experiment studying, simultaneously bringing the skills training and value shaping of the experiment curriculums into full play. The data processing methods in the acquisition of Planck constant via photoelectric effect are expounded, including the zero method, tangent method and linear fitting method. Their applications in scientific research are discussed, beneficial for the cultivation of students' scientific research literacy. The authors anticipate that data processing methodology could attract much more attention to promote the integration of traditional teaching of physics experiments and scientific research methods and boost the cultivation of research-oriented and innovative talents.
