The rapid development of digital educational technologies has significantly transformed the methodology of foreign language instruction worldwide. In modern German language teaching, communicative competence is regarded as one of the primary objectives of the educational process. This article examines the role of digital educational technologies in developing communicative competence among learners of German as a foreign language. The study analyzes theoretical foundations of communicative language teaching, the pedagogical potential of digital platforms, and the methodological advantages of integrating interactive technologies into language education. Particular attention is given to learner autonomy, motivation, authentic communication, and the improvement of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through technology-enhanced learning environments. The article also discusses challenges associated with implementing communicative digital methodologies in traditional educational systems and proposes effective pedagogical solutions for improving German language instruction.
