This paper aims to examine the significant and overlooked contributions of women in society. Role of women in movement also have played in advocating for social change, challenging gender norms and shaping the course of history. Women not only participated in mass protest. Many women joined or supported armed struggle against the British. Women ran underground networks, they offered shelter to revolutionaries, worked as messengers for freedom fighters evading arrest. This study highlights the ways in which women have been instrumental in driving progress and inspiring transformative movements. The present work explores in detail the various issues of women's participation in social activities and their contribution in social change in India.
