This study explores how Australian clinical supervisors navigate power dynamics, boundary tensions, and relational challenges. We thematically analysed semi-structured interviews with Australian accredited supervisors. Findings revealed five key themes: power, prevention, personal–professional boundaries, supervisory relationships, and supervision approaches. Supervisors reported struggling with dual roles, ethical dilemmas, and boundary setting. Findings from the study highlight the need for improved training and standardised education to support ethical practice and enhance supervisory competence within the Australian counselling context.
