This chapter critically examines the rise and transformation of anti-trans activism in the United Kingdom, tracing its roots from trans-exclusionary radical feminism (TERF) to its contemporary guise as gender-critical advocacy. It explores how this movement has gained traction across media, politics, and legal systems, often positioning itself as a defender of women's rights while deploying dehumanising tropes against trans individuals. Drawing on scholarship, public discourse, and international human rights reports, the chapter analyses how gender-critical rhetoric has become mainstreamed and weaponised, contributing to a broader moral panic. It highlights the alignment between gender-critical activism and far-right, religious, and conservative ideologies, exposing a global network of anti-gender mobilisation. The chapter concludes by interrogating the significant harms caused by this discourse, both nationally and internationally, and calls for urgent resistance to the normalisation of anti-trans politics. It maintains a commitment to trans dignity, rights, and inclusive feminist futures.
