The study addresses a comparison between traditional and modern methodologies in the authentication (takhreej) of Prophetic hadiths, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each. It explains the evolution of authentication from relying on printed books such as the two Sahihs (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim) to using digital programs like Al-Maktabah Al-Shamilah and Al-Dorar Al-Sunniyyah, and then to artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini. The results showed that 73% of researchers previously relied on printed sources with high accuracy despite their time-consuming nature, while Al-Maktabah Al-Shamilah was the most used digital tool (79%) with moderate accuracy. AI tools demonstrated lower accuracy (ChatGPT at 8%) and there was limited awareness of Gemini. The study recommends integrating both methodologies to ensure the accuracy and speed of hadith authentication.
