Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is one of the most widely used approaches in modern English language teaching, especially in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) environments. This article investigates the effectiveness of CLT in improving learners’ English language skills, particularly speaking, listening, and communicative competence. The study is based on a qualitative review of existing literature and focuses on how CLT changes traditional teacher-centered instruction into learner-centered communication-based learning. The findings show that CLT improves students’ motivation, interaction, and real-life communication skills. However, difficulties such as large class sizes, lack of teacher training, and limited resources still affect its implementation. The article concludes that CLT is an effective and necessary approach for modern English teaching practices in EFL contexts.
