The article examines methodological approaches to the study of numismatics and monetary circulation in history classes for students of the Faculty of History. Numismatic material has significant educational potential, since coins are not only material monuments but also important historical sources reflecting political power, economic development, trade relations, religious ideas, and cultural processes. Special attention is paid to the use of problem-based learning, source analysis, practical work with images of coins, the comparative-historical method, an interdisciplinary approach, project-based activities, and interactive forms of learning. The study of numismatics contributes to the development of students’ historical thinking, source analysis skills, and understanding of the relationship between political, economic, and cultural history.
