This article analyzes documents related to the activities of the Central Asian Department of the People's Commissariat for Foreign Trade of the USSR, preserved in Fund R-8 of the National Archives of Uzbekistan. Based on archival sources, the study highlights the history of domestic and foreign trade relations of the Uzbek SSR between 1917 and 1934. Furthermore, the archival files of this fund, which reflect the trade of products grown and manufactured within the republic, are scientifically analyzed from the perspective of archival source studies and document research.
