This record contains an English-language study and its Italian version, a modern score, and a scrolling-score video of Johannes Ciconia's enigmatic canon Quod jactatur, transmitted in the Modena manuscript MOe.5.24, f. 21v. The study proposes a new interpretation of the canon through the Pythagorean 1–3–5 Inverse System. According to this reconstruction, Quod jactatur is not realized as a continuously simultaneous three-voice canon, but as a circular structure organized into seven blocks of five tempora, with alternating participation of the triplum and tenor around the generative contra. The deposit includes: • an English-language study; • the author's Italian version of the study; • a modern notated edition of the proposed realization; • a scrolling-score video with synchronized audio.
