This article presents the results of the validation of the Polish translation of soundscape descriptors defined in ISO/TS 12913-2:2018, carried out within the framework of the Soundscape Attributes Translation Project (SATP). The study addresses the lack of a standardized and cross-culturally comparable tool for assessing the perception of sound environments in Polish language. A Polish version of the descriptor set was developed and evaluated in a listening experiment with native Polish speakers. The data was validated using the four-step SATP procedure based on the Soundscape Circumplex Model, which represents affective soundscape perception in a pleasantness-eventfulness space. The procedure assessed preservation of the quasi-circumplex structure and structural comparability with an empirical reference circumplex using complementary similarity measures. The results indicate that the Polish translation retains the expected quasi-circumplex structure and achieved a “High” confidence level within the SATP classification. These findings support the use of the validated Polish descriptors in cross-language comparative studies and in Polish soundscape research and practice.
