Banxia Houpo Decoction in the Treatment of Upper Airway Cough Syndrome in Children of Wind-heat Invading Lung Type

• The treatment group showed significantly better cough symptom scores and nasopharyngeal scores than the control group (P<0.05).
• Levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) decreased in both groups post-treatment (P<0.05).
• The treatment group had lower levels of IL-4, IL-10, and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) after treatment compared to baseline and the control group (P<0.05).
