The rapid pace of technological development and economic change has increased the need for stronger collaboration between academic institutions and industry. Universities generate knowledge through research and education, while industries apply this knowledge to create products, services, and technological advancements. However, a significant gap often exists between academic research and industry needs. This research paper explores the importance of industry–academia collaboration and proposes a model to strengthen cooperative research efforts. The study discusses the benefits of collaboration, such as innovation development, skill enhancement, and improved employability for graduates. It also examines challenges including communication barriers, funding limitations, and differences in organizational priorities. Finally, the paper suggests practical strategies to build sustainable partnerships between academic institutions and industries.
