. ABSTRACT:Analytical chemistry incorporating sustainability concerns has changed the way inwhich the validation of traditional techniques is done. Green Analytical Chemistry (GAC)focuses more on minimizing the environmental impact at the stage of development andvalidation of analytical methods than White Analytical Chemistry (WAC). The latterapproaches it from the point of view of analytical performance, environmental sustainability, and economic viability, combined in one evaluation model. This systematic review conductedby means of PRISMA methodology, is a comparison of Green and White analytical techniquevalidation methods in the published literature. A qualitative synthesis was carried out basedon sixty-one papers that met the criteria. The findings indicate that WAC by accounting forcost, time efficiency and industrial application provides a more comprehensive frameworkwhile GAC by solvent and reagent selection is able to reduce the environmental impactsignificantly. Besides a focus on the future regulatory perspective the review also drawsattention to methodological differences, assessment tools, strengths and issues related toimplementation.
