This paper reports on the discovery of two La Tene brooches recovered through the metal detecting of fields near Boverton, Vale of Glamorgan, and reported to PAS Cymru. Subsequent investigation of the findspots through geophysical survey revealed the unexpected evidence of a banjo enclosure and associated trackways and fields. We argue that such contextualisation of 'hotspots' of finds declared to PAS Cymru should form part of ongoing practice, when and where possible.
