ABSTRACT Cynanchum ovalifolium Wight (Apocynaceae) is described here as a new record to Indian flora from Cinque Wildlife Sanctuary, South Andaman, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The habitat ecology, distribution, and conservation status are briefly discussed. An emended description pertaining to the habit and seed characters is presented for the first time. Detailed description, photographs, distribution, and an identification key to the species of Cynanchum in India have been provided.
