Abstract The article provides information on the book, Financial and Accounting Guide for Nonprofit Organizations, by Malvern J. Gross Junior and William Warshauer Junior. This is a guide for handling the special problems of financial reporting, accounting and control, and federal and state tax and reporting requirements faced by nonprofit organizations. The first part covers key financial concepts such as cash and accrual basis accounting, fund accounting, and fixed assets. The second and third sections discuss financial statement presentation and accounting and reporting guidelines. Controlling the nonprofit organization is covered in part four. Tax and compliance reporting requirements are explained in the fifth part. This includes federal tax and compliance requirements and state compliance requirements. The sixth part discusses setting up and maintaining bookkeeping systems.
