Abstract Describes an overview of the assessment environment in higher education with a particular emphasis on outcomes assessment of accounting majors. Assessment of the value of the AICPA Achievement Test for Accounting Graduates as a tool in an overall assessment program; Alternative ways that achievement by accounting students might be independently measured.
