Women empowerment and inclusive education are very important factors for the overall development of society. Education provides women with opportunities to participate in the economic, social and political spheres. Inclusive education is a concept in which equal educational opportunities are provided to all irrespective of gender, caste, religion, economic status or physical disabilities. Various government schemes are being implemented to increase the level of education of women in rural Maharashtra. Self-help groups, skill development programs and educational opportunities have given a boost to women's empowerment. This research paper studies women empowerment and inclusive education in rural Maharashtra.
