The detailed magnetic survey was carried out using a SENSYS MAGNETO MX V3 6 channel cart-based system. The instrument has 6 fluxgate gradiometers (FGM650) spaced 0.5m apart with readings recorded at 20Hz which equates to a survey resolution of 0.5m by 0.15m. The northern part of the site contains cropmark/soilmark evidence for a possible enclosure; however, the geophysical survey has revealed that this feature is associated with very strongly magnetic material used to infill a depression within the field. A number of weakly positive linear and discrete anomalies have been located within the site, but they tend to lack a coherent morphology. A linear anomaly in the south-eastern part of the site appears to have been truncated by later agricultural activity. Modern magnetic debris associated with the use of the site for car boot sales is widespread within the south-western part of the site.
