Abstract Women are the half of the world, half of the sky, half of the earth, the participation ratio is socio-economic, political, and industrial entrepreneurs’ opportunities equally growing is an indicates development of the society. Women entrepreneurs are increasingly recognized as critical contributors to global socio-economic development. It has become a vital contributor to socio-economic development, particularly in regional economies such as Telangana. This paper assesses the empowerment of women entrepreneurs across three districts of Telangana, focusing on social, economic, and entrepreneurial dimensions, along with overall empowerment and profitability levels. Government of India has taken various initiatives to build entrepreneurial mindsets and capabilities among women, support and promote the growth of women led enterprises and provide mentoring and handholding support for entrepreneurship development among women. Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) through its autonomous organizations, namely, National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) and Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) has been working for the empowerment, upliftment and development of women entrepreneurs across the country. Further, the Ministry through the Skill India Mission delivers skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling programmes through an extensive network of Skill development centres across the country.
