Ancient India showed the world new direction in various branches of knowledge. That exception do not occur in the scientific realm. Ancient India has set an example for the entire world in two important branches of science as well-mathematics and medicine. In many instances, this vast repository of mathematical and medical scientific knowledge of India was described in various religious texts, concealed beneath the guise of diverse religious rituals and ceremonies. This paper discusses in detail India's contributions to two significant branches of science: mathematics and medical science.
