The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into organizational processes has significantly transformed Human Resource Management (HRM). AI-driven technologies such as machine learning, predictive analytics, generative AI, robotic process automation, and intelligent chatbots are reshaping traditional HR functions. Consequently, the role of HR managers has evolved from an administrative and operational focus to a strategic, analytical, and technology-oriented function. This paper examines the changing roles of HR managers in the AI era, explores emerging competencies required for HR professionals, and discusses the opportunities and challenges associated with AI adoption in human resource practices. The study is conceptual in nature and relies on recent literature and industry reports to analyze the evolving HR landscape. The findings suggest that AI has enhanced decision-making, workforce planning, employee experience, and talent management while simultaneously creating concerns related to ethics, privacy, transparency, and workforce displacement. The paper concludes that future HR managers must combine technological proficiency with human-centered leadership to ensure sustainable organizational performance.
