ABSTRACT The study illustrates how green banking and green finance foster sustainable growth through bibliometric analysis in order to ascertain major authors, key publications, and evolving themes in the area. The PRISMA framework is employed on the Scopus database, which formed a dataset of 88 peer‐reviewed publications circulated from 2016 to 2025 for bibliometric assessment. The key results include the discovery of five clusters within the subject. Since 2020, publications on green finance and green banking have risen sharply, with Energy Economics and Sustainability (Switzerland) emerging as leading sources. The study maps the academic and societal landscape of the field and highlights the role of financial institutions in advancing sustainable development through sustainable finance, policy frameworks, and green bonds. The study provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution of green banking and green finance research, offering insights to guide future sustainable finance policy and scholarship.
