HRMARS - This study employs the dual framework of aesthetic perception and cultural understanding, utilizing the CiteSpace visualization tool to systematically and hierarchically construct a knowledge map of interdisciplinary primary school art education research in China. A total of 476 relevant documents on the topic of "interdisciplinary primary school art" were extracted from the CNKI database, covering the period from 2005 to 2025. Using the CiteSpace bibliometric analysis software, rigorous and vivid visual analyses were conducted on indicators including the temporal distribution of publication volume, research institution collaboration networks, keyword co-occurrence and clustering characteristics, burst terms, and their temporal zone distribution. Over the past two decades, research on interdisciplinary primary school art in China can be clearly divided into three phases: the incubation period (2005–2018), the initial growth period (2019–2022), and the outbreak and adjustment period (2023–2025). A few normal universities, such as Southwest University, serve as the core research institutions in this field, but inter-institutional collaboration still has considerable room for improvement.
