The use of technological screen devices and internet access is rapidly increasing worldwide. The “Digital 2024: Global Overview” report states that the world population has reached 8.08 billion, with 69.4% (5.61 billion) using a mobile device, 66% (5.35 billion) having internet access, and a typical internet user spending an average of 6 hours and 40 minutes online per day (Kemp, 2021). According to the policy papers household information technology usage survey results; in 2023, the rate of households with internet access from home was reported as 95.5%; and the rate of individuals using the internet was reported as 87.1%. Technological devices have a significant economic market that is frequently updated, and children are also affected by this. In developed countries, almost one in four children owns a tablet or smartphone, and studies show that the age of screen exposure is shifting to earlier ages, and the time spent engaged with screens has approximately doubled over the years. However, as these rapid developments occur, families' hesitations are increasing, and counseling services are not developing as effectively.
