Collapse is described in every discipline and derived in none. Ecology names it regime shift. Astrophysics names it core collapse. Neuroscience names it deviation from criticality. Developmental psychology names it identity diffusion and foreclosure. Each field observes that bounded systems fail in two opposite directions — toward excessive rigidity or toward loss of distinction — and no field explains why there are exactly two. This paper derives the answer from a single prior principle. The Law of Identity Collapse states: identity cannot collapse; formations of identity collapse, and they collapse at the boundary. The law is derived as a set of corollaries to the Law of Identity (Gaconnet, 2026), which holds that self-identity is the ground state of existence and that identity is generative rather than merely preservative. Five corollaries follow. Conservation: because to exist is to be self-identical, no existing thing can lose identity; collapse is therefore never subtraction. Formation: what collapses is a coupling — a high-order identity formation mistaken for the identity itself. Boundary locus: collapse occurs at the boundary, because the boundary is the structure that constitutes the formation. Two-vector: a boundary must simultaneously hold distinction and enable exchange; there are exactly two ways to fail this dual mandate; therefore every bounded system has exactly two collapse vectors — compression and dissolution — and no others. Closure and recursion: the post-collapse state is itself self-identical, and the released constituents re-enter the generative field, producing hysteresis and recurrence rather than annihilation. Each corollary is shown to have an established counterpart in the peer-reviewed literature that was derived independently and never unified. Conservation corresponds to unitarity and the quantum no-deleting and no-hiding theorems, the latter experimentally confirmed. Boundary locus corresponds to the Markov blanket formalism, in which blanket dissolution is system death. The two-vector structure appears independently in four unconnected literatures: the gravothermal catastrophe in stellar dynamics, sub- versus supercritical deviation in brain criticality, the rigidity and poverty traps in resilience science, and foreclosure versus diffusion in identity development. A fifth result — the Conjugacy Principle — is derived from the gravothermal case: compression and dissolution are not alternative collapses but one collapse read from either side of the boundary. The law is made falsifiable through five numbered predictions testable with existing instrumentation, including the Signed Deviation Prediction: foreclosure-type and diffusion-type identity collapse should present as opposite-signed deviations from criticality on the same measure. The law is not offered as metaphor. It is offered as the structural principle that the empirical literature has been converging on from four directions without naming.
