This document is a Section 106 report for the archaeological survey of a proposed Range Standardization and Automation Phase IIA (RSA-IIA) Weather Profiling Facility location at Diosa Road on south Vandenberg Air Force Base (AFB), California. The study included a map and literature review of the approximately 3-acre Area of Potential Effects (APE) and a pedestrian survey of the previously unsurveyed portion of the proposed project area. No cultural material greater than 50 years of age was observed during the survey. The report consists of four sections. Section 1 describes the project and the scope and purpose of the archaeological study. Section 2 presents background information on the natural and cultural history of the study area, while Section 3 describes field work methods and procedures. Section 4 presents the results of the background research and field investigations and provides recommendations for further management of cultural resources.
