Abstract Digital transformation has evolved far beyond the adoption of new technologies. While many organizations initially viewed digital initiatives as operational improvement programs focused on efficiency, automation, and cost reduction, leading enterprises increasingly recognize digital transformation as a strategic capability that influences long-term competitiveness, organizational adaptability, innovation potential, and market positioning. In rapidly evolving economic environments, technology is no longer merely a support function but a central driver of strategic value creation. This article examines digital transformation as a strategic framework for aligning technological capabilities with sustainable competitive positioning. Particular attention is given to strategic alignment, digital capability development, organizational adaptation, data-driven decision-making, innovation ecosystems, leadership transformation, resilience, and future digital enterprises. The study argues that successful digital transformation requires integrating technology into the core strategic architecture of the organization rather than treating it as an isolated operational initiative.
