Human Restoration Theory (HRT) is an organism-level explanatory framework for investigating how the human organism organizes mechanical support under continuous gravity, how that organization changes the cost and reliability of living regulation, and how persistent compensatory solutions may become chronic organization. This paper establishes the canonical core architecture of HRT. It defines the theory's controlled vocabulary, directional relations, core assumptions, scope boundaries, operational signatures, restoration criteria, testable predictions, and rules of falsification. HRT distinguishes reliable skeletal load conduction from continuous active stabilization without reducing either to posture, alignment, or isolated muscle activity. Its central proposal is that persistent conditions constrain the organizations available to the organism; organization distributes load and regulatory demand; cost and reliability shape adaptive priorities; and repeated compensatory solutions may become entrenched through path dependence, tissue adaptation, and loss of accessible options. Restoration is defined as a condition-enabled transition toward lower-cost, higher-reliability organization in which continuous holding demand decreases and adaptive options expand. It is not defined as the performance of a prescribed posture or fixed configuration. The document separates the HRT Core from bridge hypotheses, domain applications, and speculative frontiers.
