Viksit Bharat @2047: Challenges, Opportunities, and a Strategic Roadmap for India's Development

As India moves toward celebrating 100 years of independence in 2047, the concept of Viksit Bharat envisions the country emerging as a developed nation. This objective includes achieving strong economic performance, ensuring social inclusion, advancing technological capabilities, and maintaining environmental balance. Reaching this milestone, however, requires overcoming several deep-rooted challenges that continue to affect the country’s progress. Although India has experienced significant economic growth, issues such as inadequate infrastructure, socio-economic disparities, and administrative constraints remain critical concerns. In addition, the country’s wide-ranging diversity calls for a development strategy that is both flexible and inclusive, combining traditional practices with modern innovations. This study examines these challenges alongside potential opportunities that can drive transformation. By analyzing international experiences and proven development models, it suggests a strategic pathway for India to realize its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
