The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) held an invitation‐only summit, “Called to Care: Strengthening Faith and Behavioral Health as Social Infrastructure for Recovery,” July 8–9 in Washington, D.C., convening addiction and other treatment and prevention organizations under a faith‐based program. The summit, whose stated purpose was elevating the role of faith in substance use prevention, included faith leaders, health care officials, and recovery advocates.
