Through case studies of contemporary immersive artworks, this article examines epistemic and reflective dimensions that emerge at the intersection of artistic practice and scientific communication on ecological issues. By employing sensory immersion and working with environmental data or living systems, contemporary artists create conditions for embodied and affective understanding–an essential step toward ecological awareness and sustainable thinking. The paper highlights how immersive media art communicates ecological knowledge while cultivating aesthetic reflection. The authors examine emerging trends of delight and psychological support for audiences as artistic strategies for promoting integrative understandings of the relationships between natural and human ecosystems.
