Pteroylasparticacid, N-4-( [ (2-amino-4-hydroxy-6-pteridyl)methyl-amino} benzoyllaspartic acid,' has been found to be an antagonist of pteroylglutamic acid and certain of its derivatives for several species.The present communication reports the preparation of the compound and summarizes the experiments demonstrating its antipteroylglutamic acid activity.EXPERIMENTAL
