The article is devoted to the organization and content of early care for children with speech retardation. The authors reveal its main trends and priorities, conduct a comparative analysis of the provision of early care services to children at risk of speech dysontogenesis and their families in state social protection organizations and private centers providing similar services. In the course of the analysis, key criteria were evaluated: the availability of assistance, the staff of specialists, the work model, and methods of correctional and developmental impact. The authors pay special attention to the review of methods of early speech therapy aimed at stimulating speech development and preventing the aggravation of disorders in children with speech retardation. Their differentiation, advantages and limitations in the context of different forms of organization of assistance are presented.
