Abstract With the nose landing gear of a certain type of UAV being the research object, a multi-body dynamics simulation method for nose landing gear shimmy is proposed in this paper. Considering the influence of multiple variables such as air spring force, hydraulic damping force, tire force, and structural stiffness in nose landing gear, the shimmy damping value that can meet the requirements of shimmy stability of nose landing gear is output.
