This study uses the scoping method to obtain literature studies on folklore in students has a very good effect in increasing preschool teaching literacy to Orang Asli preschool students. Meanwhile, the scoping study framework approach introduced by Arksey and Malley (2005) which consists of five stages, namely identifying research questions or objectives, identifying relevant studies, selecting studies, classifying data and organizing, collecting and summarizing the findings was applied. The results of the thematic analysis of the selected articles based on previous studies have formed several themes, including theories used in literacy teaching studies, Orang Asli students' literacy challenges and the implications of teaching literacy to Orang Asli students using folklore. Studies related to preschool students' literacy challenges are very necessary to unravel the factors that cause such situations and how to overcome them. Information from this further study is important in planning specific programs to help overcome the problem as a whole. In conclusion, based on the findings of the literature review, it can be concluded that the use of folklore in teaching literacy to Orang Asli preschool students' literacy.
