The article considers effective approaches to solving educational, training and health problems in the training process in swimming. The authors note that since the physical and biomechanical capabilities of an athlete are limited to a certain extent, the latest interdisciplinary research in the field of anthropology, sports pedagogy, sports psychology, the formation and maintenance of motivation, including taking into account the individual characteristics and personal characteristics of those involved, currently plays a significant role in the search for ways to improve and enhance the effectiveness of sports training and solve the problems set in it. The paper presents a developed educational project based on interactive technologies, work in mini-groups, reflection and the formation of information analysis skills and cause-and-effect thinking in students of the training groups of the swimming department. Based on the results of the study, it is stated that the formation of motivation for classes based on obtaining fundamental knowledge about the changes occurring in the body during physical activity develops the need for self-improvement, self-development, strengthening and maintaining health, increasing the level of sports results; The independent search for solutions to project tasks and communication in groups when presenting the stages of the search and the results of completed tasks also contribute to the increase in the interest of those involved. During the testing process, the effectiveness of the activities implemented within the framework of the project was confirmed among adolescents studying in the educational and training groups of the «swimming» department, which requires further in-depth research in this area.
