This section includes over 1,100 listings for university philosophy departments, institutes, and programs where philosophy is taught. All entries are organized alphabetically within each country by the name of the university. Entries include the department or program name, mailing address, the institution’s affiliation and total enrollment, highest degree offered in philosophy, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, and website (if available). Listings for philosophy faculty are also provided, including each person’s name, highest degree earned, academic rank, areas of philosophical specialization, telephone number, e-mail address, and personal website (if available). In each listing, the department chairperson is listed first, followed by the full-time faculty, emeritus faculty, and then graduate students (if available). Please note that these listings often do not include temporary or part-time faculty.
