The N-power program, which is the policy component for job development, is aimed at Nigerian male and female youth and seeks to combat poverty and unemployment. The study carried out gender analysis of N-Power beneficiaries in Imo state, Nigeria. Specifically, the study identify the different types of N-Power programs benefitted by male and female in the study area, assess the benefits of N-Power program on male and female beneficiaries, and ascertain the level of satisfaction of N-Power program by male and female. Data for the study were collected using structured questionnaire from 360 male and female beneficiaries of N-Power selected through multistage sampling technique. Data were analysed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, z-test, and ANOVA. Youth empowerment (x̄ = 1.56), and skill development (x̄ = 1.47) were indicated as high benefits of N-Power program by female beneficiaries; male beneficiaries indicated community development (x̄ = 1.34), and youth empowerment (x̄ = 1.38) as high benefits of N-Power program. Male respondents showed higher benefits mean score (x̄ = 16.29) compared to female respondents (x̄ = 16.12), and the z-value (z = 0.221; p = 0.825) reveals that there is no statistically significant difference in the benefits of N-Power between these two groups. The study concludes that both male and female beneficiaries indicated community development, youth empowerment, and skill development as high benefits of NPower program in the study area. The study recommends that Federal Government of Nigeria should partner with private organizations to provide male and female beneficiaries of N-Power with more extensive exposure to the real-world work environment.
