As a result of the harsh and stressful conditions of the war in Syria since 2011, a significant number of our compatriots arrived in Armenia with illnesses, and therefore needed urgent medical care. Syrian Armenians in need have applied to the Ministry of Dias-pora of the Republic of Armenia with requests for primary medical care, assistance in purchasing medicines, as well as free or partial reimbursement of healthcare and surgery-related expenses. By decision of the RA Government, the health problems of Syrian Armenians who applied to the RA Ministry of Health were resolved within the framework of a state order, with the mediation of the Ministry of Diaspora RA. Medical services not included within the frame-work of the state order or requiring high costs were financed by various Armenian and inter-national organizations, again with the mediation of the Ministry of Diaspora RA.
