Green finance is a worldwide trend with the participation of international financial institutions, governments of countries as well as the financial systems of each country and region. The term "green finance" refers to the synchronous development of the financial sector in parallel with environmental improvement and economic growth, with the goal of mobilizing financial resources to benefit the environment while minimizing harm and managing environmental risks. In the development of the economy, there are many major challenges to face such as climate change, environmental pollution, ecosystem degradation, water crisis, lack of health care infrastructure and armed conflicts in many parts of the world (Emmerij et al., 2001). In the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), many countries have begun to implement new development strategies focusing on green growth. Maji (2015) shows that a 1% increase in green energy consumption contributes to economic growth of nearly 1.26%, an impressive and significant figure for countries suffering from the negative economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
