The aim of this article is to examine the pedagogical application of digital technologies in the field of foreign language education in Bulgaria by laying emphasis on the advantages and challenges of incorporating new technologies into foreign language classes. The present article conducts a literature review of publications from the Bulgarian scientific discourse, whose object of analysis are digital competence and information and communication technologies (ICT) in the foreign language classroom, by using the method of content analysis.
