Objectives The purposes of this study were to specify variables related to convergence competency, and to analyze the structural relationships among them.The purpose of this study was to understand career plateau of middle-aged male office workers in korean society and to secure the theoretical background for psychological well-being. Methods For this research, an online survey using Google Form was conducted on 397 male office workers aged 40 to 60 in Korea from DEC. 21 to 31 in 2023, and 382 data were used in the study. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis of Career Plateau, Self-Efficacy, Meaning in Life, and Ppsychological Well-being were conducted through SPSS 25.0 program, and a structural equation model was performed using the AMOS 18.0. Results The research results are as follows. First, in korean aging era, many middle-aged Korean male office workers are experiencing career plateau. Second, career plateau shows a significant negative correlations with self-efficacy, Meaning in Life, and psychological well-being. Third, it failed to prove the direct effect between career plateau and psychological well-being. Forth, it was confirmed that career plateau affects psychological well-being through direct or indirect mediation of self-efficacy and Meaning in Life. Conclusions In order to improve Psychological Well-being of middle-aged male office workers and minimize the negative effects from Career Plateau, this research suggests that additional effects can be obtained by enhancing Self-Efficacy that has a positive effect directly or indirectly and strengthening Meaning in Life that helps indirectly.
